Metal Fabrication Drafter

Department: Patriot Custom Metals
Location: Carter Lake, IA

Patriot Custom Metals, a division of American Fence Company, is one of the largest custom metal fabricators in the United States and seeks a creative and motivated Drafter to join our team of drafters, designers and engineers.

Our drafting team designs high profile architectural products in both aluminum and steel. Our commercial products can be found at notable building sites throughout the nation, from major universities to tech industry giants, national parks, and monuments. All our products are one of a kind, creative designs – perfect for the drafter who wants their work to stand out!

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

  • Starting wage $25 - $28 an hour
  • Work independently on your own projects
  • On-the-job training and education provided in topics such as REVIT, Inventor, and other advanced CAD software
  • Paid time off and paid company holidays

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES DESIRED:

  • Minimum one year drafting experience
  • Capable of drafting original designs
  • High functionality in AutoCAD
  • Experience with Revit, Inventor, BIM modeling and 3D very helpful
  • Participate in team environment in drawing, quality control and creating fabrication documents
  • If invited to interview, portfolio is recommended but not required
